I don't believe in a judeo Christian god, but I also think we humans are pretty primitive creatures. There is plenty left to discover in this universe of ours. I am sure that with time we will come to discover and understand forces that are beyond our comprehension today.

I agree. There's nothing that we know now that excludes a creator or creation committee that created the known universe and then stepped aside.

The poll provides an option for such folks who believe this.

Is there anything we now know that excludes a creator or creation committee that continues to act in the universe?

Lack of evidence that rises up above the noise of simple chance or coincidence?

That's my opinion.

so low signal/noise is the answer?

I'm not sure that I'd hang my hat on that one, but everyone is free to their interpretation of the data or lack thereof. In the science world one can point to many low signals later being able to be pulled out of the noise.

Groups of men that squabble over religion. That's either a huge blunder (fire the god(s)) or there really is/are no god(s).

I'm careful what I hang my hat on. :)

Chaos theory comes to mind re low signal/noise, IMO, so I agree with your statement.

I think you might agree that humans also tend to create causal relationships for non-causal events, i.e. seeing "god" in good things and dismissing "it" when bad things occur. edit: This human trait creates the illusion of a "signal".

Best,

Best,

Totally concur. Just want to sort out the parameters.

If the answer is no, the question is of little consequences

If the answerr is yes, the question is of infinite consequences

Which god are you talking about? Are you sure you've picked the right one and that you understand his requirements?
