Question Auto Fuel tracking solution?

Hi,
Does anyone know of any software/Spreadsheet to track car mileage?
I know there is comercial software but that's not what I'm interested.. I want something for personal use to keep track of fuel consmption in the cars..

Thanks

A buddy of mine (who is obsessed) keeps track of mileage, expenses, etc. in Excel. I think there might even be a built-in template for auto expense.

My dad was obsessed with tracking mileage on everything he drove. There was always one of these in his glove boxes of his cars.

When he died my step-mom immediately trashed them.

What's wrong with writing your mileage on the receipt when you fill up? Spreadsheet or notebook for historical data.

I know there is a simple solution like writing the mileage in the receipt, calculating and keep history in Excel,etc.. I'm just looking for something already throught out. I.e. Historical per season, service maintenance reminders, trends, maybe graphs, etc...

I've seen them in Excel but I can't find any templates in the web! There are some very nice for comercial use but they're all for sale..

anyone?

When you figure out how to do it I want you to check your mileage then over inflate your tires and check it again and post the results.

I use www.fueleconomy.gov online. Simple to use, it's free and you can compare to other cars easily if you like.
