How about a "What I did on my vacation" thread - at least it's a-political
Reading of Scott's trip to Belize (and the lack of photos) got me thinking of a vacation thread. An in honor of nostatic, it'll be hard o work Obama into it.
For starters, we just returned from Newport. Even got to take the 911. You can stay on the sand or off the sand. The price changes by a factor of 2 to 3. I guess it was a sign of the times - we stayed a few houses off the sand/boardwalk. Still had plenty of fun, though not as many interesting people passing by... |
This year we're going to staycation (man I hate myself for using that stupid cliche but i couldn't help it).
We just spent $62k on the pool and back yard so that's our vacation this year. We might sneak in one trip to the Colorado river but that's it. Good news is I still have 3 1/2 weeks of vacation saved up and get another 4 weeks in January. |
