VP candidates announced...
Oh wait. Not yet.
Less than 90 days to go and neither guy has a running mate. Oh wait...Obama does but he's not telling...until Saturday. What a couple of morons.

I want Obama to pick Al Franken and I think McCain should pick Chuck Norris.

My wife keeps reminding me that the smart ones are too smart to go into politics. A sad state of affairs when you consider that all our politicians are mediocre to average thinkers

I think the media frenzy going on today wrt the VP selection just demonstrates how ridiculous our entire political process and media have become. Biden has a media mob camped out at the end of his driveway in DE. Why? He's not gonna break the news. Sure, he has foot in mouth disease, but he ain't making the calls or the news here. The VP nominee has never once changed the outcome of an election. This is like making a big fuss over what you might get for Xmas. You know it's gonna happen by a date certain and not before. Just let it happen. It's really not that big a news story, but they make it seem like it's a world-changing event. Who was it that said the VP slot was nothing more than a warm bucket of spit? The job may be more important nowadays, but its place in swinging the election is not.

If either party had the brains of a grapefruit yes he would (at least be running).

Your wrong.....LBJ helped JFK....for without LBJ, JFK would never have won Texas.. One of Daddys GF's Grandfathers said that... He was a VP under FDR.

I never said a VP candidate had had no effect. But JFK could have picked plenty of others that would have helped him in places Nixon was gonna get. What I really mean is that some nominee who was way, way down and out in the polls was never rescued by his VP pick and vice versa for the undisputed front runner being crippled by his VP pick. If Dan Quayle didn't sink Bush in '88, no one could have, especially given the fact that Lloyd Bentsen was so much better and was running in the same election.
