Most famous Rim styles ever

I saw this idea on a european board and I thought it would be cool to see what a predominatly US board with think.

What are the most distinct rim styles of all time?

On this board I would wager the Fuchs and phone dials are quickly mentioned, so I will start the list of with them:

Have to agree with the Cragar S/S's. Anyone alive during the 70's saw these wheels on practically any and every car manufactured, at one time or another.

Of course, "Slots" were pretty popular also...

Do those big ugly rims w/ very skinny tires on the bouncing cars count?

i'm pretty sure chariot wheels w/ blades on them are fairly distinct also

As mentioned, Cragar S/S or the American Racing copy. I never had a set, but I did have a set of "slots" on a Barracuda.

And every boy watching TV knew what car these were on:

Do you? ;)

Back in the day, you were a full-on stud if you were rollin' with Centerlines

I think those 5-slot "mags" were the most popular in my 'hood

Ahem...

Nice rim shot!

Not Phone Dials, but these always got my 15-year-old panties in a wad.

Real Americans like on my 71 455 Skylark, as old as the car

I always hated Keystone Classics for some reason.

And fake Cragar S/S wheels. I think Superior made knockoffs.

Cragar SuperTricks were the ones I liked the most. These are the "street super tricks or SS/T"
I prefer the dull, just out of the forging look the drag cars had.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1219444321.jpg

I liked the original deep-bowl design much better.
