Closing Ceremonies - Cool but just a lil creppy

I turned into an Olympics junky - stayed up till 4:30AM to watch the mens B-ball team edge out a win over Spain - loved watching the mens Volley ball team beat Brazil. But I have to say, while the closing ceremonies was 'interesting', it was a bit creepy.

Do I have game burn or do others feel this way?

What is the Chinese' fascination/preoccupation with drums??

Those giant drums hovering above the festivities were definitely creepy. Why such big drums, and why were they suspended above everything else?

Some of the gizmos they were riding around on and the mobile drum thingies had sort of a "Dr. Seuss" feel to them. I mentioned that it looked like a scene right out of Whoville and my 9-year old daughter agreed.

Dude... he is Eddie's dad... who do you think taught Eddie how to play?

BTW, Page wasn't playing that guitar... and that woman wasn't singing, either.

I thought it looked more like the Disney light parade.
