That's pretty bad-ass, but a bit optimistic on the starting bid.

Proof that just because you can, doesn't always mean you should.

They missed. The sum of the parts is worth less than what they started with.

The work is incredible, the craftsmanship is incredible, but the end result is less than spectacular.
They'll be lucky to get what a used 360 modena is worth.

Okay, so I think we can all agree $1 Mil is rather ambitious, but what do you think this car would fetch at something like the "Barret-Jackson" auctions? I'll take first guess and say around 175k

My imagination led me to the thought of actually driving it...man, a guy could have fun, couldn't he?

(edit) This happens a lot in the hot rod show car world...the uber rich have a car built with the purpose of winning the trophies, then they sell it, move on to the next project. Just a game with a high tab. Kind of like a certain Gruppe of P-car fanatics, all competeing for the "prize" of having their car featured in excellence.
BTDT...and let me tell ya, all the glory of having your car in EXCELLENCE will buy you a cup of coffee for a buck, and possibly help you in an immediate sale, if that's your goal.
