Most people are not honest enough with themselves to openly admit this fact.
It's easier to pretend things will somehow get better because of the words of some new guy.

Trek's response I quoted above is to this comment from BillyBoy:

Quote:

There is no solution from the politicians or mankind for that matter
It's just anecdotal, but I don't know anyone nor do I recall reading the comments of anyone of this board saying that politicians have all (or any!) of the answers or solutions.

I think "most people" are shouting this fact from the roof tops! I am a bit surprised that you believe people would have a hard time admitting this . . . I don't! :D

Best,

A great deal more than any organized religion yet known to man. :D

You did say dance, yes?

What I think will be "accomplished" is that the career politicians will continue to aggressively promote extremism in order to further their selfish aims. The public will continue to be pulled farther apart with moderate voters having no candidate to support (I'm there now).

Whether we stop their madness and regain control of the country before they demolish it is anyone's guess.

you get a financial situation like California's

They will never truly address the real issues because that would not be politically expedient.

Did you ever see "Mr Smith Goes to Washington?"

That never happens in real life, the idealist gets destroyed by the institution, rather than reforming it.

My hope is that the political element does not do too much damage

KT is just setting his doom and gloom stage for his "final solution". The bad part is that nearly everyone will be deemed wicked and dies horribly at the end. Good times.

Man is with many faults. We succeed and we fail. Accept that and things start making more sense. Edit - and nobody should trust a politician/lawyer.

Nope. Only good stuff. :)

People are VERY interested in politics.
I'm trying to find out why. What it is they are hoping in.

I saw some footage of both conventions. What were the delegates clapping for?
If you were there, would you be clapping...If yes, why?

We are watching some of the most powerful and influential people in their element.
Obviously a great deal of people trust, respect and believe in their efforts.
But why?

Someone tell me something.

It's interesting that you bring up religion into this discussion.
Have you taken note of the candidates asking for "God's" blessing on their party and America?

How does that make you feel?
