Wellington NZ next week
I will be in Wellington from Monday to Saturday (maybe even longer) on a business trip.

Yup, count me in.
Dinner AND some beers sounds good. I'm 10 minutes away from where you are staying. Plus we can do the mandatory drive around the bays, Mount Victoria lookout etc. Most of the other kiwi Pelicans are in Auckland :-( My phone number in Wellington is 3871774. Talk soon, Bill. |

Hugh, been once in Auckland many years ago (I use to live in Singapore), and I did a day trip to the South island, really an amazing place!!

Bob, since Monday has been raining and is on the cool side (remember I live in Vegas), not very good conditions for photography. Seems that the weekend is going to be better. Will post pictures!!

I can (somewhat) understand the 'No Open Containers on the street' thing the doggie one not.
Some pictures from yesterday Bill Douglas, my gracious host for the day  I bet you don't see this sign that often  Lyall Beach and Bay (surf spot)  Downtown Wellington from Victoria Peak  Local side road  A great town!! Amazingly green!!

I hope we do another movie there. I'd love to go back. The South Island is just about the most beautiful place on Earth.

looks like you had a good time. you would have caught the country between storms, lol. Pity you weren't here longer you could have caught the WRC Rally of NZ up in the Waikato! The weather was perfect but little bit of a drive though.

Still in Wellington (leaving tomorrow). As an avid Rally follower I was very tempted to go up to Auckland for the weekend to try to catch a few stages it just didn't work out ....
