Just back from Rolex race at NJMP...

And boy are my arms dusty!!!!

Apparently nobody thought to put in an irrigation system and get some damned grass growing. Drove MAYBE 100 yds in that crap to park my car and i will be spending a few HOURS tomorrow cleaning it up. Not sure if my shoes are salvageable.

Other complaints include a track bigshot in a E class driving WAY to fast throughout the paddock; a disorganized food concession and not enough seating.

However, i will be back! Fantastic views EVERYWHERE. My darn camera battery fritzed 10 pics into the day so i missed out big time. Lots of opportunities for amazing pics. Got to walk around through the paddock and get up close and personal with the cars.

Very exciting having a major venue like that 3hrs from home!

Tried my darndest (sorry about the language there Z) to be in the middle of the ferry (Lewes/Cape May) but got stuck in the front anyways!

Dust is better than mud...

Nice picks! Looks like you had a blast!

-Z-man.

PS: I'll be there this weekend at NNJR's first DE there. Looking forward to it!

It was a great race to watch! Did you by chance catch any practice sessions? I'd like to hear some play by play of the Pruett crash on Thursday that broke the car into pieces.

Thx for posting the pics!

Tell you one thing; Angelellis pass on the last lap looked more like a controlled crash from where i was sitting (literally a few dozen yards away) and looked waaay late for that corner. the brumos car was shoved off line ('nudge' is a kind way of putting it) and couldn't possible recover. that corner has a lot of potential for damage but ran pretty clean most of the race! Angelleli sure carried a lot of speed into it but it's almost like he used the brumos car as a bumper car to slow down a bit.
