Cool Hello & How was your summer?

Hello PPOT,
Just got back from my 2 month summer vacation; spending this weekend moving back to the house from the cabin. Having all my kids (5) and grandkids (2) at the cabin this summer was a definite highlite for me!

Being without a computer for two months was another.....Ha, Ha!
All in all, it was a great summer! How was yours?

Cheers!

My Family:
(L to R) Son, Blake; Daughter, Erin; Granddaughter, Brynn; Daughters, Jenny & Cathy; Grandson, Tegwyn; My wife Lynn; Me and my daughter Candace. Photo taken about mid-August at our summer home on Shuswap Lake.

Welcome back Rob! I could do with a 2 month vacation, looks like fun. Due to the WGA strike in Hollyweird It's been busy since March. A backpacking/fishing trip was all I could fit in.

Me too. He seems far too good-natured to take his ball and go home. I was about to post if anyone had heard from him.

Beautiful family Rob. You have much to be proud of.

the correct spelling is "definIte" there's a word "finite" but no work "finate" as far as I know.

Rob,
Welcome back! We had a great summer in the backyard, enjoying our "staycation" since we have a pool and a hot tub in the back. The weather cooperated and we were able to drive the 911 a lot (with the top off, of course). Our kids are 16 and 12, so we're able to get out more often that when they were little. Great summer, I hate to see it over!

Welcome back Rob. Some of us posted here: How about a "What I did on my vacation" thread - at least it's a-political

Hey Bob,
Thanks and glad to hear you had a good summer. We should hook up next summer? Come up to the cabin for a few days/week; we love the company and you can't find a nicer spot in Canada 'eh.

I actually own 7 computers; Ha. Ha. 4 at home here; 2 which are my personal PCs, a personal laptop and two satelitte offices, both with computers; so parking the box for two months is a tremendous challenge; but I force myself to make the break and so far; 8th summer in a row, I've had no computer at my cabin; not even my laptop for 5 minutes. It also shows a great respect for my wife and family when I crawl outa my office every summer!

Cabin is about family, relaxing, recreation and of course Miller Time! You can take everything else away from me; but don't take my cabin.

Actually, Lynn and I have just sold our cabin and bought one that is 4 doors down the beach; ha, ha. Our cabin was a rough cabin style retreat with 4 bdrms and 1 bathrm and we bought the one down the beach which has 5 bdrms and 3 bathrms, year round services and doesn't need any work. It's our retirement home as soon as I kick the last one outa the nest. Way cool.

Talk to you soon, sorry for being a stranger.
Cheers!
