follow up; the Yangarra blend stuff is mucho el-smootho. not a terrible bottle; maybe not $25 yummy but a nice drink just the same.

I'm a Tequila guy. I drink it straight, no rocks, no training wheels. 100% Agave is the baseline, if that's not on the label it doesn't even make it into a Margarita.

Don Julio Anejo is the one I buy when I just want a good Tequila.

My wife bought me a bottle of Don Julio Real when she told me that she was Pregnant. Unbelievably good but the price makes it something that I probably wont buy again.

Jose Cuevro Tradicional is the best bang for your buck Tequila out there. I drink it the most, and it's a great Tequila for Margaritas.

Cazadores is another great Tequlia for the money, although a little more than the Tradicional it's great back up.

My all time favorite Tequlia is Don Julio 1942. WOW! It's not cheap, but man is it good. It's about 1/3 the price of Don Julio Real but oh so much better than all the others I've had. Don't let my small selection fool you, I've tried a lot of Tequila. Don't you dare put ice in it or heaven forbid throw it in a Margarita!

Try the Nectar of Gods, and try it without the shot glass for a change.

IMHO, the absolute best value for single malts is Laphroiag.

Can you give me any hints on how to pronounce it? I'll feel silly asking for it at the local liquor store if I can't even say it right. I'd hate for them to think I'm an amateur. ;)

Thanks,
Dan

Either Jack Daniels or Gentlemen Jack.....either one on the rocks!

Heh, my dad and I used to argue about that, until I found it's explained right on the bottle (or maybe box) and on their website, and found he was right. Straight from the horse's mouth: La-froyg.

Of course, your average liquor store owner may pronounce it the way I (mistakenly) thought it was, "la-fro-ag".
