No, obviously (I found that info independently). Just...disheartening.

Also, I wonder if anyone is going to try to compare Roosevelt with Palin. He was very much for some modern "liberal" things.

You know, some people have WAY too much time on their hands. Like whoever it was that figured out you could rearrange "Ronald Wilson Reagan" into "Insane Anglo Warlord" using each letter only once and not having any left over....talk about OCD!

That's why I didn't ignore you immediately, like some of the cut and pasters here ;)

I did immediately assume you meant Palin, but when you made that clear, I did my research.

email? no idea, I guessed because of the way TR was
Neat place in DC called Ebbets Grill that is supposed to have TR trophys in it, that's what they told me anyway, but I was drinking.

That's OK Mike...I would not go beyond those similarities. Teddy had a "little military leadership" and you are right about some of his progressive thinking. The way I look at it, I'll be voting for a "Democrat" that I don't care for that much anyway. Well, I guess our job here is done, only 7 minutes to "politics-free Thursday, right"? Catch you guys tomorrow. Take care.

Old Ebbitt Grille is a WH staffer hangout across the street from Treasury. It's a good restaurant and bar. Can't remember if I ever saw any TR memorbilia there. It's always too crowded to really look around.

Hanging right over the main bar, I went in for happy hour and talked to one of the waiters, who knows, it was a good story. Heads hanging on the wall.

The only "famous trophy head" we have hanging in an eatery here is a buffalo bagged by Wilford Brimley & given to the place. ;) G'night y'all.

3 minutes!!

I was going to mention that being progressive then is different than being progressive now. As you said, both major candidates are "Democrats" today.

There are other choices ;)
