of course, the reverend wright has said a bunch of things. he's the one who coined the phrase "the audacity of hope".

I actually saw the film footage of this on one of the news shows. McCain looked a bit strained in trying to lay the rose as his shoulder inuries prevented him from reaching out to lay the rose. He struggled for a few seconds before he was finally able to lay it with a sense of honor and respect to those who had died there.
