140 here...but lazy as a goat (until somewhat recently). Was sent to a school for "gifted under-achievers" as a kid.

I guess these days I would've been classified as a "slacker".

I got everything wrong on my IQ test except first name and year of birth.

They forgot one:

140 and over Genius or near genius
120-140 Very superior intelligence
110-120 Superior intelligence
90-110 Normal or average intelligence
85-90 Dullness
80-85 Apple Store "Genius"
70-80 Borderline deficiency
Below 70 Definite feeble-mindedness

My brother tested 140. I have always wondered how somebody so smart can be so incredibly stupid.

That's because there aren't any truely smart people in MENSA. Look around your neighborhood...there's 2 people on your block that qualify for MENSA. No matter where you are.

I've heard the same Star Trek-MENSA analogy as Roux(2). To get in you merely have to be able to separate your index and middle finger from your ring finger and pinkie.

i knew a girl in high school, that was incredibly smart academically, but dumb as dirt when it came to common sense.

Ever heard the expression "dumb and happy"...or "ignorance is bliss"? I see it all the time.

I don't know the exact score, but I tested high. It's not always a blessing. I'd rather have more guts like someone said earlier.
