Eric Burdon for $15.00
Went to see Eric Burdon and his new Animals. The guy still has juice, and with newer arangements to the old songs it keeps them fresh, especially the extended "Lets Get Outa This Place" . The audience all had one foot in he!! as they were for the most part 50 years old and better. However that didn't stop many of them from whooping it up. How old geezers with walkers can still yell and jump around like that is beyond me. Maybe it was the all booze and dope that they were consuming.
The opening act was Rare Earth of Motown fame. They were a tight act that held interest on their renditions of Poppa is like a Rolling Stone (Tempations hit) and I'm Losing You. There were a coupla points when interest drifted away on them, their new stuff. As I said Eric Burdon is worth seeing. He is just an old Brit Blues Growler. Anyway for $15.00 it was a great show.

Rare Earth also did a spot-on version of "Get Ready"
