F1 qualifying, didn't see that coming

Very surprising results in qualifying today, my guess is that "some" cars are set up for dry weather and did very poorly in the wet, while others did well today in the wet but will suck hind-teet tomorrow if it's dry. Discuss.........

Going with intermediates instead of wets was a risky move, not sure what they were thinking. It was nice to see a fresh face on the front row, they have been on quite a run lately.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS My thoughts exactly. I think Ferrari and McLaren really trimmed their wing, hence he results.

I liked Vettel's exuberance on his cool down lap. Regardless of the weather, it will be an interesting race for tomorrow, that's for sure.

At least Hamilton wasn't throwing things around the garage, he just looked stunned. Good for Toro Rosso!

Congrats to Vettel. What a great win for one of the small guys. The varsity F-car scuderia has to be a bit disappointed, however. That was a pretty lackluster race for them.

Glad to see Vettel pull it off. Wonder if Hamilton will complain that he needs Heikki's setting for the next race.....

the best part of it was that they won the race in every manner..pole, fast times in q1 and 2 and 3 in quali..they really deserved and earned it..great job!

Did anyone else feel a sense of pride while seeing Vettel on the podium, trying to remain somewhat calm under the circumstances. Not pride in that we had anything to do with his win but more like you would feel for a second cousin doing it.The little Toro Rosso team beat the big guns, fair and square. I'm will remain a Kimi fan but today sucked for Ferrari and McLaren/Hamilton. Heikki did a good job today and deserves a lot of credit even though he seemed like he was ticked off about something at the post-race interview.

Also a good drive for Hamilton to finish in the points, given where he started the race. You didn't see Kimi doing anything like that, for comparison. At least not until the last handful of laps, where it didn't really matter anymore.

I think many of us root for the underdog. It was interesting to hear the German anthem followed by the Italian anthem again. That used to be a rather common occurrence. Kudos to Vettel and the team. Hopefully the stewards won't find some BS to relegate the top 5 finishers
