Homies steppin' up with da rides?

I live on the fringe of the hood, and traverse daily to get to my shop. Can't help but notice the larger-than-normal amount of home-boyz (and "Thug Angels") ridin' in (used) newer SUV's, Crew Cab Dodge 4x4's, big pick-ups, etc.

I assume this is because of the lower prices these things are selling for now.

So...is it the same in your ghetto?

Yes.

But mostly in older, worn out SUVs. Not going far, and the vehicle is even cheaper than the gas..

In my fringe ghetto, and suburbs across America I imagine.

Most that I see are in good shape, as if just driven off the wholesalers lot. I look over expecting to see a good-ole boy or a yuppie-tard, and instead, 7 times out of 10, it's Shaniqua with her brood of chillens'.

Last few years it was DONKS or off-lease Grand Marquis/retired Po-Po Crown Vics. This year...big trucks.

Noticed that as well...probably more clearance for da 28's.

What suprises me even more are the number of minorities in my area sporting NASCAR license plates. But I do live in the deep south.

Notice to Dueller: If you are a white guy in the deep South, YOU are the minority...

Around here the homiez all agree bigger=better.

However it's ALWAYS been A and G body GM's, and last few years it's been SUV's. It's so the norm these days.

I'm not talkin' bout the Escalades/Navigators. Those are a given. I'm seeing big trucks/lifted SUV's etc. that were once the sole domain of Bubba or BCSM's (Blue-Collar Soccer Moms).

It was the older Crown Vics become gypsy cabs or car service cars. But car services today are buying up the nice off lease SUVs. They dont go far, have good cash flow and can carry many passengers. They dont scare me.

The big SUVs with worn tires with teens with iPods scare me. Too fast and bad brakes.. Commuters need the econo boxes and prices have gone up, I suppose.

Otherwise, always live near a ghetto. Get the best curry goat and rice that way.

Must be nice. The only thing we get from our hoods is crack cocaine or a bullet with our name on it.

Aaah, I got ya. There are a few of those around here. There's a lifted H2 that has neon underneath it and it's all pro built and enough polised billet to make an old hotrodder blush. I see it every time I'm down in Seattle around Belltown (club sceene)- it sure as hell is blinged out and pretty tho. Ti's got like 28" wheels on it too.

You see homiez on 26's but few that are lifted.

We don't have any ghettos around here. We do have plenty of white trash meth- tweakers though. Cars such as this seem to be the ride of choice. My daughter the cop says it's like they have a blinking neon light on top advertising their vices.
