I shoot'em all, Dave...I'm just riding your prop wash on this. Your esthetic in this realm means more than the gauge
![]() Edit: Tabs, I follow all your gun posts and admire your eye as well, but a wouldn't know a damascus barrel from الشام ash-Shām!

Yeah I have heard it was his favorite make of gun.
Paul you're looking for a shooter ..right? Do you want a "project " gun to work on or do you want one that is ready to go? Will this be for you or Jack. I have a Stevens 311 in 20 ga. that all the mechanics are good and the barrels are perfect, but the wood is crap and needs to be replaced. Drastic I know but originally it was tennite (plastic) and somebody tried to replace it with the wrong stock and butchered it in the process. If you want a good reliable, affordable, gun that will increase in value I would suggest a Savage/Stevens/Fox model BSE. They can still be had at a very good price (under $500.00) and the Fox name added to the frame has been making them steadily go up in value. They were made in every ga. Bring a wheelbarrow of money if you want a .410! If your looking for a "big boys gun" I would look at SKB 200E's around $1,500.00 Tabs is WAY above me in his knowledge of collectable guns. I'm a pudknocker basement gunsmith.
