EST Company credit card scam!!! Check your statements!!

Just found out a credit card scam which has hit 100's if not 1000's of people. It is a small charge of about $0.10 or so from a company called EST Company. It is totally bogus and they are hoping you forget or don't look at your statement and will soon drain your account. Check your statements and close out your account if you see the charge. I was able to get our account closed and reopened a new one without the "customary" charge.

Why would you close out your card? Just challenge the charge and have your credit card company investigate it.

On on of the links, the investigator says you should report it as a fraudulent charge vs. a "dispute". Apparently a report of a fraudulent charge carries more weight toward shutting the scammers down. If you report a "dispute", the scammer refunds your $$$ but still remains in business ripping off others.

Holy Crap dhoward. I just ran through the first page of hundreds in that thread. Unbelievble thing!

Kurt, if you read the second link, more than likely they will keep charging it, more and more...
