I thought I'd chime in.
For my anticipated Mac desktop to 42" Panasonic plasma connection, I ordered a DVI to HDMI adapter cord. From what I understand, the HDMI signal from a computer only outputs video. For sound, you must send audio separately via an adapter cable (3.5mm/M to RCA/M). Your laptop might have an S video port which can be connected to the comparable S video port on the TV. This connector should contain both video and audio signals. I'll confirm when I assemble the pieces. Sherwood |
