do you gamble?
wow, i have alot of friends that love to gamble. every chance they get, a poker game starts. vegas is always on the trip list. i like vegas too, but i am good for 3 days max, and i eat and do other stuff...
i may be one of the very few of my asian buddies that doesnt get off on games of chance. they rag me a bit. they get excited on the very few occasions when i shoot craps with them. i dont even know what i am doing! i am just not into it! how about you guys? high stakes? |
Low stakes.
I've been in a casino a half-dozen times. I've had a few poker games with friends. I pretty much write off the money as entertainment the second I walk in the door. Lately, I've had a series of stupid bets with friends. About a year or so ago, when two wives in our circle of friends were pregnant and had due dates within one week of each other, I bet one friend $5 on which one would pop first. |
All day, every day
Ah, the life of being in the Construction business. |
Never. I have never seen the appeal of it.
|
Occasional Lotto ticket, SuperBowl TM pool, Roulette when at a Casino (I can make $40-60 bucks last long enough to get enough free drinks to break even.
|
Not really. I may do a poker game in the neighborhood once a year. I spent two weeks in Vegas on one of our shows and I think I might have bet $10 in nickle and quarter slots. I figure they didn't get to own those casinos by giving it away.

Never more than a buck. I bet ACC football and basketball with my FIL. I lost a dollar on Duke vs. UVa.
My dad fixed me when I was little, he took us to the tracks in Charleston WV. I lost $20 and cried myself to sleep, never again will I loose my money so stupidly. |
buy a lotto ticket every now and then

6's and 8's vash!
craps is a blast to play...very fun party atmosphere and if the dice are friendly you can get a lot of entertainment for your money. |

In business, the term is "risk allocation". :D |
No...no time to waste on this.
|
Only in the stock market :). I've been in a casino once (cruise ship)...bored after 30 minutes.
|
I was a few years underage when I went to Vegas. I didn't want to get busted so I just tried the nickel slots. I left $8.50 richer!
I found the gambling scene pretty depressing, but I still liked Vegas. Lots of interesting and mostly friendly people, and lots of fun stuff to do besides gamble. I remember there being a neat auto museum with lots of Deusenbergs... |

My thoughts exactly! I'd way rather kill a couple hundred and a few hours playing craps and drinking for free than go to a show in Vegas... But like Legion said... you just have to look at it as an entertainment expense. Craps is by far my favorite game... It's the only game I can think of where it's basically everybody against the house, and everybody's payouts are highly correlated. It leads to some pretty fun times when the dice are friendly! |

I like going to Vegas, although we have been all of twice in the last 10 years. Craps is my favorite game, I usually walk into the casino with $100 and if I get 2 hours of entertainment out of it, I am happy. The nice thing about craps is if you know which bets to place the house advantage is pretty small and you can play for a while.

No gambling for me. I refuse to even buy a lottery ticket. If i'm gonna throw my money away, I'ts gonna be on cheap women and booze!:D
|
Played slots once on my honeymoon cruise, that was enough for me. I work too hard for my meager paycheck to piss it away that quickly. I'd love to see Vegas to see Vegas, not to gamble.
|
No Gambling! I just don't get the appeal. Losing money is NOT exciting.
