Frank Zappa Fans

200 Motels on tonight, TCM, 12:45(you know, 0045, just past midnight) California time, you could Tivo it, or use a VCR if you are an old head like myself.

I will have to be sleeping at that time myself, babysitting in the AM

had the pleasure of seeing this in a theater a long, long time ago.

the one to see however is on just before this, at 2 am eastern time on tcm.
timothy carey in "the worlds greatest sinner". carey was always a character actor in mostly small but unforgettable parts, but this was written, produced, and directed by him too.
zappa did the music for this one back in 1962. i've not seen this, but from what i have read, this is one of the most bizarre movies, EVER.
i am literally counting the minutes 'til this goes on.

tim carey, read up on this guy, you will be fascinated, i guarantee it.

I still have an original 7" prerecorded reel-to-reel of 200 Motels. I still miss Frank. (no, not Ringo playing Frank) Watched Baby Snakes 2 nights ago.

I went to a Frank Zappa concert in 1974, San Diego. I was 17 years old.
My buddies and I decided to each by a "hit" of Strawberry Barrel (LSD)
What a huge mistake, I sat on a concrete floor for hours with my head buried in my lap.
I couldn't even come close to watching the show
We even had a designated driver in those days
The "high" lasted for 12 hours, it sucked, never did that evil drug again

Yeah, borrowed from FZ- the same track contains the equally memorable line- "when the train goes round the bend, check the shrubbery on the other end..."
