Gots Me Some Schmutzfanger!

After 4 years of looking, I was finally able to get my paws on a set of OEM, NIB front mud flaps for the e30 325iX. They weren't offered in the US and hence they're very difficult to find for a car for whom production ended 15 years ago, but they keep the schmutz from being thrown along the side of the (newly repainted!) car by the front wheels.

Yes, they're just "mudflaps", and yes, I probably shouldn't be as excited as I am about the whole thing, but it freaking rocks!

If there's anybody I know anywhere in the world who can empathize with irrational exuberance over mudflaps, they're on this board.

Schmutzfanger! ( I think I'm going to name my GSD Schmutzfanger).

JP

Word on the mud flaps. I had a set of REARS on my beater 325e. Just the thing for impersonating Timo Mäkinen without getting your Tux dirty!

After you install them, you can tell ricers that you have a rare, front wheel drive bimmer.

I found a very rare, unused NOS set of 4 schmutzfangers for my very rare Tristar. That was about 3 months ago, and I'm still feeling the high.

i had mudflaps installed 2 weeks after i got my 118D... my boss was starting to complain about me driving up on the parking lot, with mud up to the window... hey it's no my fault the farmers are harvesting and leaving so much mud that i'm having ball when a drive to work with the TC off !!?

i was sort of worried it would upset the line of hte 1 series, but it doesn't , instead it looks wider now in the back...
