Panamera Interior (and Key Fob) Spy Shots

Not very impressed. Busy and bulky? Not what comes to mind when I conjure images of the revered marque.

Looks like they did a poor job and mocked a Carrera GT.

http://www.seriouswheels.com/2004/2004-Porsche-Carrera-GT-Interior.htm

Edit......compare.
Earlier spy photo
http://www.diablomotor.com/2008/08/14/primera-foto-interior-del-porsche-panamera/

Current:
http://www.thetorquereport.com/2008/10/spy_shots_porsche_panamera_int.html#more

The angle and proportions of the photo may have been altered to make it look worse than it is.

I can only hope that this is what I see.

Dodge could have designed that. I have the feeling this new car will be a dud. Existing luxury cars already broke in by 50%, so that environment won't help ...

The fob is hideous. Matches the interior perfectly.

What's with all the complaining? From all the negative posts regarding this car over the past year or two, it's apparent that none/few of us on this board has/have seriously considered purchasing this car, anyway. So it doesn't appeal to the PPOT consensus. What does Porsche care? They're not trying to sell it to us, anyway. Though it does remind me of the kind of interior you'd find were the Predator to drive a car.

That center console looks like a big, 500lb cellphone.

I lost count now what is this, strike 127? I look forward to the Rapide's debut. This car? Not so much.

Wow! I was hoping I could get behind this project, figuring at least a sedan is a "little" closer to building sports cars than a damn SUV! Ironically, I've grown to at least accept the Cayenne. I still hate that they built it, but I can appreciate the engineering and technology that went into making a 6000lb behemoth perform.

But this...this is fugly! What a wasted opportunity...there are so many other performance oriented sedans I would consider before this one. I have no doubt it will perform admirably, if without character, but they sure could have done a better job with the design. Oh, and the key fob is gay.

Rant over.

It's the steering wheel that grosses me out. Well, that and the enormous center console. Those buttons are huge!

I always felt that the interior on a Porsche flowed well... no, complimented the exterior of the cars that they produced.... The 914 dash was boxy like the exterior... The dash on the 911 and 928's mimicked the curves on the exteriors... I don't get the new stuff, whoever said it looked Dodge-ish above +1.....
