Which Car to Keep

We have decided to get rid of one of the cars but the decision is more difficult than we thought it would be. Maybe you can shed some light into this and help us decide.

Background: our kids are 6yr and 9yr (soon to be 10) and are active year-round. We don't normally cot anyone else around. When we go on long trips we rent a vehicle and I expense it off. The winters here are mild - it may snow once a year for a few hours. Temps normally don't get lower than 30F.

The Vehicles:

2004 Honda Pilot, silver, leather, 45,000 miles, very good condition, no problems, new Michelins, inside has some stains on the rug from spilt drinks and bleach (momma tried to clean up the stains), quick enough, gets around 20mpg.

2002 Volvo V70T Turbo Wagon, silver, leather, power sunroof, 71,000 miles, excellent condition, no problems, surprisingly fast, gets around 20mpg.

Both paid for. Such a dilemma! What to do, what to do. We are going to sell one but which??? HELP!

My wife doesn't care which vehicle we keep or sell.

One of em has an f'd up paint job though.

I saw a black cab the other night on Flower Mound making a left onto Morris.

Tried to grab the plate # but was not fast enough.

Sell the one that is worth less money and is losing its value faster.

Sell them both and buy a big fat H2 Hummer.

j/k. Since your wife doesn't care I'd keep the car that I prefer driving.

You can see how tough this is - I love both. Our Son thinks we should sell both and get an extended cab Pick-up...

Put them both up for sale, and keep whatever doesn't sell first.

The Honda wins because it's newer & the Volvo is probably about to slip into the hole of $2K per/year minimum of stupid Euro service bills - relays, sensors etec.

I'd keep the Volvo. European cars can be older and look OK. Asian and American cars change so fast, they look dated in a few years. Volvo's probably a nice car as well. We had one and sold it. Will probably buy exactly what you're selling when the Pacifica is a little closer to paid off/time to retire it.

Keep the one that is the easiest to gather up if you overcook it into a decreasing radius turn on a slightly damp offramp.
