Gift For My Friend's Birthday...BMW Content

I have a good friend who is a BMW nut, so for his up coming birthday..I made something he would appreciate for his 635CSI, better than buying him a sweater or a tie!!!

Took the stock valve cover, machined it, sanded it, prepped it, polished it, polished it and then polished it again. After that I painted the center and the Rondel the closest shade of BMW blue I could find and then aluminum brushed the highlights. Quite alot of work I have to say, but came out pretty good! I took these pictures tonight and the poor lighting in my garage does not quite compliment the reflective finished surface.

If you could take the paint out of the upper right and lower left quadrants of the roundel and fill in more paint on the upper left and lower right quadrants, I think that would be an improvement because it would show up as truer to the original.
