"If your my dog could drive, he/she would drive a..."

One of my favorite dinner/drinks conversations with fellow dog lovers.

Here are mine:

-Ella (young great dane; affectionate, liberal, yet practical--needs the headroom): Honda Element

-Ben (15 year old aussie mix; an eager CPA in his last life): Accord/Camry

-Hank (young ridgeback, kind of like a dorky-but-ok-with-it teenager): too young to drive

Cassie, the 3 year-old Red Heeler, an old Toyota FJ-40 with a Chevy small block and suspension upgrades.

Hoge (Hover Out of Ground Effect), the 1 year-old Aussie Shepard, an old Bronco with a new V-8 and suspension upgrades.

They both get good gas mileage, though

Interesting thread.

Snooper Joe (aka Snoopy, Snoofer, Pooper, Stinky, Stupid) - a B/W Rat Terrier would drive a roadster of sorts...

He's now past away, but my black Lab would have driven some sort of cool truck with the window wound down so he could do a polite bark as he cruised past some sexy b1tches.

I picture my old black lab Earl just like that...maybe an El Camino or a Dodge Power Wagon.

Dogs are an opposable thumb away...

My dogs are German and have better bloodlines than I do. Since they are hunting dogs they would need something to haul game and go off-road. I think they would settle for nothing less than a G-Wagen.

My neighbor's dog is a collie terrier mix, and he prefers not to drive, as it interferes with his ability to run alongside the wheels while trying to read the sidewalls. He would also tell you not to be foolish, as no car has actually out run him. It's all circumstancial.

Cher, the now departed yellow retriever/collie/gaudnoswhat mix.

Pickup truck with a bed full of trash/dirt/manure so she could occasionally jump in the back and roll around to freshen up.

Lola the Greyhound (will add pic when I get home) - Ferrari F40- fast as hell, and like most F40s out there, she spends most of her time at rest. Greyhounds are unbelievably lazy. To her the couch is the greatest thing that ever happened.

Anyone older from SoCal remember these besides me? Filled daily with fresh baked breads, pies, french rolls, donuts. You could smell them from 50 feet waway. This is what my 100 lb blonde lab would be driving!
