Check out this Supercharged Toyota Tundra...pretty cool...

0-60 in 4.4 seconds. Talk about good towing capacity.

Looks like a fun truck to drive. May be a little to late for the market though.

They make a supercharger kit for the FJ. But I seriously doubt it would make it do a sub-5 sec 0-60!

The problem with supercharging an FJ is that it still looks ghey when you're done.

Toyota has been offering factory (TRD) superchargers for quite a while. I know there was one that could be dealer-installed for the 3.4L V6. Superchargers used to be available for the old 22R engines, also.

TRD sold supercharger kits for Land Cruisers under the "Kazuma" brand. I designed and created one of their LC install manuals some years ago. The original prototype was designed by an ex-McClaren engineer.

Had the TRD supercharger put on by the factory on our 98 4runner when it was new. It transformed the vehicle, gas mileage is the about the same around town, better, at steady state cruising on the freeway, same warranty and it now has over 100,000 miles on it with zero problems.

Gotta love em.....

Wife's Mini is supercharged- I like the way the power comes in early. Is that what you've seen with your 4runner? FJ has plenty of power, but more can't hurt!

That is exactly what happens....and it just keep coming.

You can change the pulley size and add even more horsepower if so desired.

On the subject of Toyota, I really like the Yaris. Don't know why - I just think it's a cool little car - three or four door.

I wonder if TRD makes a little s/c kit for the little Yaris motor. It'd be fun.

Too Big...I liked the size of the early Tundra better.

My dads G60 VW is supercharged and well that thing is a blast on boost. Needs a new pulley to make it charge better. Like I said i would love to run the TRD charger on one of the 1.8 corollas. I think that car in good hands would give some guys at auto-x a run for their money.
