Hummers are back on the road

I saw two Hummers parked at the grocery store today. They've been kind of rare lately but since gas is down to <$3 here, they're out and about again. Guess it's time to dust off the 911 too.

Were Hummers scarce where you live too?

I test drove an H2 SUT. Set the thingy on the dash to MPG and hit the freeway...

5.9mpg at 60mph.

Not good at all. No wonder some got parked when the gas prices went up!

Radiologist in my tiny (<5K people) town had H1's but has since moved on to "help" others (smart but complete egomaniac). Beyond his, I'm not sure I've ever seen another civilian H1 on the road.

Where did they go? There were a ton of H2's in my area a year or two ago. Where they all traded in and sent to Mexico? Sitting in the garage?

$1.76 down here. The Hummers will be thick as ants at a picnic soon.

the only decent Hummer is the H1 - it has real off-road capability -- it is a sanitized HumVee.

the others, the H2 and H3, are worthless -- just a regular GMC truck with the cosmetic "Little Dick" body option.

At the local tire shop I was told that if you follow a Hummer home it will take you to a foreclosure.
