I quit fleabay maybe 3 years ago. Never did like it. I did have a few transactions and 100% pos feedback, but I wouldn't stress over 1 neg or neutral if it happened. You could put in your future auctions something like, "Do you care about feedback scores? Then read the individual entries. I sell and buy fair."

Someone who has hundreds on transactions and 98% is doing well in my book. I wouldn't give the Pelican 4sale forum 75%. In fact, over 25% of my purchases on the PP 4sale BBS have been very disappointing. Now I buy new or what I can see personally before opening my wallet.

eBay won't let you put links in anything. I'm not that worried. My feedback rating speaks for itself and this guy's comments make him look like a douche, not me. But I was really expecting a negative on this one. I guess he took his meds today and left feedback before they wore off. I think I'm gonna write some stories in my future item descriptions, just to entertain folks and mention this guy.

I didn't say use a link. I said to tell the bidders to go read your feedback. I don't see why you can't include that in your item description.

Rick Lee 11-19-2008 03:45 PM

I was referring to Eric's suggestion about the link. I often do put in my item description "see my feedback and bid with confidence". Anyway, not worried. No one is ever gonna not do business with me on eBay because of my feedback. Of that I am positive.

cool.

A guy left me bad feedback for a 944 instrument cluster that I sold him on e bay . I offered to give him his money back. He never responded. A couple of weeks later, I see him selling it again on ebay. Lousy little prick!!

I had 100% feedback and then an idiot gave me a negative. Low and behold, Ebay changed their policy and its back to 100%. Ebay has really lost steam in my book and I could care less if I get another negative feedback. I wouldn't give a crap if I was you. In his feedback, make sure you spell out what a loser he is.

Rick Lee 11-19-2008 07:39 PM

I left him positive feedback as soon as he paid me. Doesn't really matter though. Seller feedback doesn't count much.

Although I still have a 100% feedback I have had it with dealing with idiots and losers on Ebay. I now sell stuff on Kijiji or craigslist. They still have pit falls but at least I dont have to deal with shipping and the sellers knows exactly what they are getting.

Book him for a party, then refuse to pay on the grounds that "he provided the service as described but did not meet expectations."

Isn't that your only choice now as a seller?

livi 11-20-2008 05:11 AM

Maybe he can do a Michael Jackson and play with one white glove..

Porsche-O-Phile 11-20-2008 05:27 AM

I bet his GF says the same thing about him... "technically he provided the service, but it didn't meet my expectations".

legion 11-20-2008 05:29 AM

Hmmm....wonder if he knows how to play anything more than "Jailbreak".

Where is the guy located that you sent the guitar too?

Rick Lee 11-20-2008 05:36 AM

Please don't mess with him, but here's his site. Looks like a bit of a bicycle seat sniffer, but he doesn't sound bad at all.

No, the story just started to sound like someone I know who lives in Texas. Just making sure that it wasn't him. It's not.

I wonder if he has taken the axe into a store, complained, then got hit over the head with it?

Rick Lee 11-24-2008 04:35 PM

I will definitely mention his feedback in my next listing. "See my feedback and bid with confidence. Even the last jerk to leave me neutral feedback says item was as described."

Heres your man! He's using your guitar to write very crappy music.

Nah, that's not my Strat. I hope those frets are filed down to not hurt his sensitive hands.

Holy God, is that pillow-biter music. Do we use this stuff in Gitmo to extract info?
