Last year I learned that there are companies that come to your house, bring their lights, and install them for you. They also remove them and take them with them after the season. All for a fee of course. Wonder how those companies are doing this year?

Wife does all the decorations at our house. There would be none otherwise.

Doing great in my hood. I count at least 2 dozen houses that have been done in the last two weeks. Including mine.

They strung 300 ft of lights along my roof line, I supplied the lights, they supplied the clips and crew. They will come back, remove, label location for next year, all for under $200.

One of the neat things about it is, as they string them they cut n splice for a custom fit along all the eaves.

It would take me 4 x's as long to do half as good a job.

Well worth it IMHO

Last house I used to do myself. This house is just too high for me.

Drive over to Naples (next to Belmont Shores) for a true example of American excess. It's cool to see (a lot of the houses look stunning) but it's so extravagant and over-the-top it's just ridiculous.

Another "lights animated to music" display. This one is really cool.

Take a ride around Staten Island NY. Every Italian here tries to outdo one another, when it comes to Xmas lights. Its pathetic. Makes Vegas look likes its in the dark. (Keeps the electric company happy though!)
Plus those inflatable things have taken over the landscape. There is a house around the corner frm me that has 28 inflatables in front of their house. Cant even see the house.
