Bond versus Bourne?

Suppose James Bond (the current one, with Daniel Craig) and Jason Bourne (the Matt Damon one, of course) were pitted against each other.

Not just a cagefight, but a manhunt across the world's cities, each man determined to evade and terminate the other.

Who would you bet on? And why?

Not sure of the winner but there would be a massive trail of collateral damage. Right now I'd lean toward Bourne. Much more calculated than Bond.

Daniel Craig looks like he could take Matt Damon. Damon just doesn't have the "License to Kill" look to me.

Great question. I'm a fan of both characters and the way both actors portray them.

I'd have to give the edge to Bourne/Damon.

The victor of this fictional battle would roll over and cry like a little girl if faced with a real challenge.

It depends on the script doesn't it? After all, they're both actors. They play tough guys. How would they hold up in a real life, dog-eat-dog situation ...... like in the TV show, "Survivors"?

James Bond would kick butt and have sex with every woman in the movie as an added bonus. Nobody stops Bond from getting the girl.

Without gadgets, Bond would be toast.

Bourne would whoop ass all over Bond, no doubt.

That's not even a contest! Bourne would leave Bond laying on the floor in a pool of his own blood and tears.

Yep. Bruce is gonna, well...did, win all his movie fights. He was the star and the star never loses In the real world both are/were very accomplished fighters off camera. I see Chucko being more durable but Bruce had the edge in speed and probably conditioning. We'll never really know.

Who wins when you're in a faster car with a cop on your tail when 20 more units are just minutes away?

Who does Bourne have backing his ass?

I would bet on Bourne.

What if you put Bourne against The Transporter - Jason Staham. That would be a better match up.

Bourne is a master of evasion. Teams of assassins chased him all over the world, he deliberately sprung their traps and took their bait, and they never caught him. He's got that nondescript look and is able to get close to his enemies without being detected - remember all the times he could have put a bullet in Pamela Landy.

Bond is no slouch, but he is pretty conspicuous - tall, sharp dresser, exotic cars and luxury hotels - and thus he does get himself caught and tortured sometimes. It wasn't Bourne tied up in that cane chair getting his testicles whipped during Casino Royale, was it?

So, I think Bourne would be able to evade Bond and then take the fight to him at a time and place of Bourne's choosing.

When the moment of truth comes, assume Bourne chooses to fight Bond face to face rather than simply shoot him from a distance.

Both are savage fighters. Bond (the Craig Bond) is more bulked up and muscular, but that doesn't tell you anything about who'll win a fight. Bourne seems to kill more of his opponents with his bare hands. While Bond usually shoots his men, he can kill with feet and hands as well, and he doesn't need gadgets anymore, as he showed when earning his double-0 in Casino Royale. I don't know who would win.

Which is why I would think Bourne, who seems very logical, would simply track Bond down and shoot him from a distance.

A pic of Cindy's 2nd cousin..."little katie"...doing her job in "Transporter 2"...gawd, what a krappy movie! Had lunch with her grandparents right after the movie came out. Grandpa: "Katie sure had her ass hangin' out!"
