Screw the NFL, what about COLLEGE football predictions?
Yes I said it, and I meant it.
![]() I'll be wacky, and call the championship game Georgia vs Missouri. I call Georgia winner of the SEC, I think LSU took a big hit losing Perillou (sp?) at QB. Ohio State will stumble at USC, and pollsters will make them pay, tired of watching them embarassed by the SEC in the title game. USC will then lose a stupid game, as they are apt to do. Near and dear to my heart in the Big 12, I predict MO knocks off OU to win the Big 12 title. NU comes back to life thanks to Bo and makes it to an average bowl game. KU falls on their face with a real schedule, and ends up in an average bowl. Texas Tech is a big suprise, but loses at least one game they shouldn't to kill their title chances. Dream world: KSU falls on their face again, the stupid new AD and Ron Prince are fired, Bill Snyder rides in on his white horse (Buick?) and resurrects the program for a second time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I don't feel sorry for you, at all.
I went to Iowa State. Yep. Although I did see them beat Nebraska in 1992 when Nebraska was ranked #3. That was a hell of a game and party. Bill |

I predict that I will forget what time kickoff is and try to go into town. Only to be surrounded by 85k drunken gator fans...

Hear me now & believe me later. Not only will GA not win the BCS, they won't win the SEC, or even the SEC East for that matter. Fl wins the SEC East, LSU wins the west. Whoever is healthier wins the SEC. LSU won championships with Matt Mauck & a wounded Matt Flynn. Reasonable QB play is all the Tigers need. GA has to come to Death Valley. Noshawn will be yelling NO MAS. USC, the 1peat dynasty will get the most press since Obama (as usual) but suffer from a weak schedule as usual and fold against tough competition. Let me say now, God, PLEASE give LSU a crack at USC.

I don't care as long as Toledo beats BG and contends for the MAC West. Everyone is too scared to come to the glass bowl anymore since we tend to beat top25 teams here.

There will be a lot of hype about the Oregon Ducks going for the national championship. They will be invited to attend one of those toilet bowl games...and they will lose even that.
(edit) The Oregon State Beavers, on the other hand, will perform about the same as the Ducks...they just won't get the hype from the big city media...

LSU has to beat Auburn (at Auburn) and that might be tough this year. I'm thinking Auburn/Florida in the SEC championship game. I think Georgia will trip up somewhere along the line (like they did at Tennessee last year).
I don't care about anybody outside the SEC. ![]()

Auburn LSU is always brutal. I think LSU can pull one of the 2 road games (Auburn/UF).

Lets go a bit further. Since the first BCS title game, there have been 4 SEC winners, 1 ACC, 1 Big East, 1 Big 10, 2 Big 12. I'm a die-hard Big 12 fan, but it's difficult to argue the dominance of the SEC in the BCS era.

According to the recordbooks USC won the national title in 1931 and 1932,
and repeated again in 2003 and 2004. I'm well aware that you don't agree with the 2004 record but even if we say that USC only repeated as national champion 1 time, that's still 1 time more than _______. ![]() Seriously, I expect USC to finish in the top 5 this year but barely. I'll be surprised if they do well enough to play for the BCS championship. I hope I'm wrong tho. |

Wow. I just checked the latest polls.
Coaches poll has USC 2nd ESPN.COM has USC 2nd, USA today has USC 2nd. CCR 120 has USC third, CBS.comn has USC 3rd, AP has USC 3rd. I guess they have more confidence in Mark Sanchez than I do. |
