What are you guys paying for your Verizon cell sevice?
I have hammered out reduced fees before but I like to be armed with what they can do going in.
How much? How many minutes? unlimited data? texting fees? Thanks!

$73 (incl taxes) for 2 "lines" and 700 shared minutes. Text/data is extra, dunno the fees for that...we don't text or surf with our phones.

Those seem in line with what I'm getting, thanks. The only difference is texts, they ding me. I don't normally send more than 5-10 a week but when people text me I reply.

$175 per month for 3000 minutes and Blackberry service, unlimited text and internet access. It's a company plan though.

Is an unlocked Iphone widely available for use on Verizon's wireless network?
Sprint coverage sucks badly in some parts of the DC metro area.

My employer tried Sprint and AT&T. Both sucked bad. I don't have a land line for an office phone. I need flawless wireless telecom service and only Verizon fit the bill, so far.

I was in marketing for a few years, a half dozen years ago, and I used to travel a lot. AT&T provided our wireless service, and it had lots of coverage gaps. My wife travels a lot these days, has a Blackberry and AT&T service provided by her employer. Same complaint with coverage gaps. We like Verizon a lot.

When I read what the first few people posted here, I was way surprised! $99 a month for unlimited "whatever-my-phone-can-do"..voice, text, data, GPS, streaming videos, Sprint-TV...works for me! Definitely the best plan I've found! ![]() Randy

As a Verizon employee, THANKS FOR YOUR BUSINESS!
No offense to Sprint customers but I have to wonder how much longer they will survive with their financial issues. Their network has went to hell in a lot of areas because of their problems. YMMV

I use Verizon. We pay about $250/month for 4 phones, lots of minutes, my Blackberry and data plan, unlimited (?) text/pics for the 4, etc. It sounds like a lot but AT&T was more for a comparable plan. Sprint may, or may not, be less for a like plan, but the coverage sucks and hardly works at all in a lot of Canada where I do a lot of business. It doesn't even work in my home area - as in my house. Aside from all that, Verizon sets the standard for me in customer service. I'm always impressed at how quickly a real person answers my calls. When they do answer, the have answers - usually the ones I want to hear. Always polite and always willing to cut me a break, even when I don't deserve one. so, thank YOU Red Baron for doing your job so well! Based on the above, I have actually "turned" about 6 friends and family from Sprint and T-Mobile for Verizon. It saves us because "in-calling" is free. So far, everyone I know is very happy with Verizon. |
