Erica Forney was hit Tuesday after a 2003 Ford Expedition traveling south on Avondale Road in south Fort Collins drifted into the bicycle lane and collided with her. Forney was riding north. Fort Collins police said they believe the driver of the SUV, Michelle Smith, was talking on her cell phone just before the accident.
