Pelican or Motor Meister rebuild kit?
I have a Carrera 3.2 and was heading down the Pelican Parts avenue until I remembered Motor Meister also has kits.

Who would you go for?

Since Pelican has several kits together to make a full rebuild whereas Motor Meister has a complete top and bottom rebuild kit, I am unclear which route to go.

Am I overlooking another outfit for a full rebuild kit?

TIA, Cory

PS - I don't care about MM's rebuilding past, just concerned with attention to detail for their kits.

........good luck tippy, hope you listen to your friends.

Nevermind that they are crooks on one end of their business, how are their kits?

If there is one thing I've learned in life, if somebody screws me, they are out forever. If they screw someone else, I am out too, becuase I would be next.

Years ago, before we knew any better (aka before we learned about the Pelican site), we purchased a Motor Meister kit. Eventually wound up having the engine autopsied by reputable builder in colorado...

Piston/barrel mismatch, poor machining on the cam towers, mis-machining on the rockers, mis-machined on the re-ground camshafts, etc, etc. Hideous expensive pile of scrap metal

Their machine work is done by monkeys in the advanced stages of syphillis induced dementia humping fiercely in dark.

Those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it...

The main reason I don't post on rennlist anymore is because they advertise for Motor meister.

I'm a little offended that they are mentioned in the same thread as Pelican. I'd pull my ads from there if I was Wayne.

the guy just doesn't know... don't be hard on HIM

pulling Pelican ads from Rennlist, would eliminate an alternative for people there and drive more of them into MM's claws

Good to know... By the way I meant "in the dark"...

I was thinking very hostile thoughts with greater speed than I could and skipped "the" toward the end of that sentence. DOH!

I didn't want to start yet another MM thread, so I'll post this here...
This looks like a nice car, until you read the text of the ad and begin to question the seller's judgement:

I always did want to see a smoking hot Porsche, preferably before the fire dept got there. (knock wood, and not my own of course).
