Oil Spill advice needed

My daily driver spilled oil all over my driveway.
Any recommendations for a quick easy cleanup would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance...
Paul

as for clean up, kitty litter will pick up a bunch quickly, then follow up with brake cleaner for the spots

Kitty litter for the Exxon Valdez portion , and then soak it with Simple Green and wait for rain to remove the stains (if any). I had a van that leaked like a Harley on my driveway, and the Simple Green treatment works great.

Yeah you right! I've got a Sporty that's a year older than my 911...only one believes in marking her territory in my garage. Not too much, but still a Harley

Get the cheapest kitty litter you can find--it won't have perfumes and "other" ingredients that make it ideal for cat poop but not so great for garage duty.

I got a 25 lb. bag of "Special Kitty" at Wal Mart for under two bucks!

powdered laundry detergent works well too but for a large spill cheap kitty litter is the better bet.

And for anything left behind after the simple green, you might try a mist of Griot's Garage "Oil & Grease Cleaner" (acually uses microbes to "eat" the oil), then rinse it off. If all else fails, use "Pour & Restore"...I cleaned my garage floors with this prior to etching with muratic acid when I painted them.

If all else fails got to the hardware store and get some lacquer thinner and a cheap brush and scrub the spots. That will clean it right up.

After the kitty, use dry cement and work it well into the pores of the concrete. The more you sweep, the better it works, then vacuum and dispose of responsibly. But, it won't finish up the job perfectly. For that you need the thinner and then a high pressure water hose (not necessarily a pressure washer). But that will get in the ground water if you're not careful. It's a tough call anymore.

Gasoline removes oil. Cheap, easy.

I'd use a solvent maybe - but then how do you get rid of the solvent/oil mix...

You can toss a small amount of kitty litter in the trash (landfill).

If a lot of oil i is best sent to a recycling/haz waste place - your local parts store and dump (transfer station) can tell you what to do with it.

For the second set of kitty litter - step on it & grind it in with your shoes. Vac up.

milt's cement dust idea sounds like a good one for the finish.
