I hate my Sister-in-Law (Rant)

I've had run in with my **** SIL for years. She lies, cheats, and steals all while justifying it in her mind because she believes as the youngest of five she got denied what she deserved. I wanted to send her this email but my wife wouldn't let me.

She owns an early 911 that was turned into one of those Gembella (sp?)-look a like cars, which she promptly ran into the ground. Who knows, maybe she visits her under the screen name of **** SIL.

Here is the email that I couldn't send.

If you perceive that I some how offended you sometime over the last twenty years, go ahead and believe it. I didn't, but you go right ahead and believe it. How could I have continued to do this so-called harassing ever since you moved out of Stevensons Ranch? I don't think I've even seen you but once or twice in those about 8 years or so. I also know that when you lived in Stevensons Ranch and got in an argument with one of your neighbors, and you ran out of arguments, you were quick to tell that neighbor that her husband had been propositioning you. A sure but effective way to "win" an argument. So you've done it before.

But what about you? Who should you apologize to? Ok, here's a short (actually kind of long) list:

You should apologize to your Mom for the systematic stealing of her life savings to support your life style. This includes:
Backing down on the profit sharing arrangement you made with her on the ranch in Porterville,

Not repaying the loans on the Old Orchard 3 house,

Taking the proceeds from the OO3 house and putting it in the Stevensons Ranch house, which you ultimately lost because you got foreclosed on,

Going to your Mom everytime the bank repossessed your huge, rediculous, expensive, and totally useless van demanding a few thousand dollars to get the van back,

Brow beating your Mom to sign over to you a number of those $2,500 and $5,000 Visa checks that come in and added debt to her credit cards,

Coercing your Mom, to take on a in-store debt with Carpeteria to the tune of $13,000 (at 24.5% interest no less!), for your house, and then not even paying her back but for about $150,

Coercing your Mom to sign a note for your daughter Jamie's huge, totally unnecessary truck and the insurance to cover it. For God's sake, at almost 80 years old your pulling this kind of crap,

Letting your kid take your Mom's car and crash it and tell your Mom "Oh, there was something wrong with the wheel" Meanwhile your trying to get it half-assed repaired. You didn't offer to pay the towing, the repairs, the deductible, nothing, not even an apology to your Mom, Valencia CoachWorks told me the $4,400 in damage was caused by someone running it into a curb or something at a pretty good speed, not "some thing wrong with the wheel",

How about the time you borrowed your Mom's camping trailer, damaged it and refused to pay for the repairs, based on the sole excuse that "I don't know what happened to it" Not whether its the right thing to do to fix it mind you.

This latest thing about trying to verbally abuse your Mom into renting her condo to Jamie for $600/month and expecting your Mom to carry the $700/month difference, when she's almost broke, mostly thanks to you, is unbelievable.

You know your Mom moved out of her Old Orchard I house because she was afraid you would try and move in when you lost your Stevensons Ranch house. She was afraid you'd drain her even more.

You should apologize to your Mom for all the times you told her in the last few months, that you'd stop by and make sure she was taking her medicines and getting into bed, which you never did, including several times Donna and/or I found her lying on the floor for hours because you hadn't bothered to show up.

In short, you've brow beat your Mom for the last two decades into giving up her lifesavings, and now she's broke. What a daughter, you're the worst thing that could happen to your Mom, a predatory daughter who repeatedly wants to drain her Mom's resources for personal gain.

Ok, on to other people you own an apology to.

When you were dating Don and you went back to Tennessee to get the Corvette and other things, you got in a spat with him (he was flirting with another girl) and in the middle of the night you went into his brother Larry's room and had sex with him. Afterwards, you ending up getting an abortion, because you didn't know if the fetus was Larry's of Don's. You should apologize to Don for that one.

You were screwing Joel while living in Don's house. Need I say more,

You were taking Don's two week vacation paychecks which he didn't even know he got, and secretly cashed them every year for at least a decade and spent the money without telling him,

You didn't pay your own share of your kids medical bills at Henry Mayo and they went to collections and the hospital got judgements against Don, not you, because his name was on the insurance. So $1,500 bills turned into several thousand dollars with interest and collection costs.

You didn't pay income taxes for about five years, and led Don to believe they were being paid, Then you came to him and said he had to sell the Corvette to pay the IRS bills, pretty nice.

You weren't paying taxes to the state and Feds, because you were too busy spending money so your two girls could continue a lavish life style to keep up with their child actor friends.

You should apologize to all your brothers and sisters for draining your Mom's life saving to support your lifestyle and saddling them with the debt of caring for her when she will eventually have to move from my house into a nursing home.

You won't be stepping right up to the plate to contribute about $600 to $1,000/month for her care. That's a bargain for you considering how much you've already taken from her.

Your mom lives with us because she has no money (you took it all). You complain that we won't let you see her. Your Mom still drives and not once in the year that she's lived with us have you bothered to ask her out for lunch or to go shopping.

Yeah, you're the "Good Sister".

I think if even half of your aborted email is true it should be said. Though I think I can understand why your wife didn't want you to send it. If your MIL has been drained and the tank is empty, she'll be out of your life soon enough, so why cause further stress?

Either way, that absolutely sucks. I can't believe anyone would ever be so callous and uncaring.

My SIL is not that bad but still a loser. My wife and I look at our immediate family, Me, her, kids as most important and dont evenr deal with other family shtt anynmore. Life is too short.

My crazy mother or her crazy sister do not have any more impact on our lives since we have moved on. Better to move on and away from someone like that than send an email and give her a chance to continue the endless negative loop.

No, Hugh, you don't get to send that email. You're only venting for yourself on that one. There are more effective ways.

Give me some time and I'll think of a way you can pull the rug out from under her big time. For starters, I think I'd consider having her charged with elder abuse. Your wife doesn't need to know how this gets started. It could be clergy or a banker.

My sister and my sister-in-law still go back to my mother and mother-in-law, respectively, for money occasionally, but not on that scale.

I've been financially independent since 19 (never asked for money), my wife since 21 (never asked for money either).

This type of behavior seems to be a common pattern with younger siblings, with varying degrees of severity.

That said, don't send the email. Just work on the USPS DDOS attack method, just like the slashdot.org readers did to Alan Ralsky (signed him up - repeatedly - for all the junk mail in the world).
