Anyone else staying home on New Years Eve night?
My wife/ 4 cats/ 1 wiener dog are sound asleep right now
 But one of us must remain awake/sober for our last child living at home to return from any parties attended, that would be me! Wife and I made the decision years ago to not go out on New Years Eve, we hit the PCH the following weekend for 2 nights of revenge I am West Coast, so guess everyone else has better plans, huh?

Nope...just answering emails, writing a snail mail letter to a friend, and posting here. Cindy in the living room, watching the tube, cat on her lap. Just not party animals these days...no booze for this diabetic dude, so why bother?

We stay home too. I'm flying to see my mom in the morning, but it would not make a difference. We used to know a practiced drinker who called this night "amateur night". It's not a funny joke really, but it's true.

Wow. What a bunch of pathetic losers! No offense.
 Haven't gone out on New Years in quite some time. I can barely tolerate the general population when they're sober! Watching "Hang Em High" with my son. I'll have a small glass of The Balvenie 15 at midnight. Cheers and Happy New Year guys!

We just got back from a nice restaurant- enjoyed a fantastic surf'n'turf and a couple of microbrews. Quick dip in the hot tub and off to bed. And it's only 10pm here. I feel old!

Jayzus…what channel is Hang um High on? (I have Dish Network)
Eastwood and Segal movies are high on my menu! Just found out from a buddy that “High Plains Drifter” was filmed at Mono Lake! Never Knew…That is one of my fav movies ever!

with charles barkley getting NAILED last night that should kind of clue you in how bad of a state arizona is to get popped for DUI!!!
g/friend is dozing right now. we finished a giant pitcher of fresh sangria's with kiwi fruits floating and mangos and strawberries mmmmmmmmmmmmm GOOD! started at about 7am with them and just finished them off while watching some stupid wil smith movie. where i live its just plain nuts until around 12 in the afternoon tommorow. then most full blown drunks have either crashed and burned/been busted/ or arrived after running the gauntlet. im gonna shove 2008 out the door like the bath water, say a prayer for my kids and g/friend......................AND DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN IN 2009! happy new year. |

It looks like all the East Coasters have all gone to bed, or are out partying. I've been staying home and dry on amateur night for so many years, I've forgotten what a New Years Day hangover feels like! and that's a Good Thing.

Wife is working the overnight shift, I was originally going to hang out and sit at the little bar in the hotel lobby but it was just too crazy/busy. Ended up coming home. I'll lift a glass by myself to bid good riddance to 2008 and welcome 2009, then immediately go to sleep. Gotta' be up at 0600 to go pick her up...
I'm really not big on the whole crowds/drunken idiots/party scene. And right now I'm pretty gosh-darned tired and just need sleep. Happy New Year all, whatever you're doing!
