Annoying computer program...AntivirusDoc. Help for a 'pooter illiterate?

Somehow I've got a program in my computer called "AntivirusDoc." I get repeated warnings about potential virus infection despite running my McAfee antivirus regularly. It shows up when I pull up "all programs" but not when I try to call it up to DELETE the program (not just delete the desktop icon). It's constantly throwing up warning windows.

Any help out there for a total computer ignoramus?

Down load a program call Malwarebytes to eliminate the virus program. Tell those kids to stop going to those free porn sites.

Yes, it is a malware/trojan disguised as a spyware program. Just google "antivirusdoc removal" and there will be plenty of sites with both manual removal instructions, and malware removal downloads to get rid of it.

It works for me, could be the virus program preventing you from going to that website. Do you have another computer that you can download the program to a flash drive?

Another solution is to restore the computer to a previous good save point.

The trojan has a proxy component. You'll need to go into Internet Explorer, Tools, Options, Connections, LAN Settings and make sure the button is on NO PROXIES.

Then try the link again.

Good luck and stop using Internet Explorer. Use Firefox and never run anything that pops up in your BROWSER and tells you you have a virus.
