Going to Portland this weekend
I'll be staying near the airport. I'll be arriving around 1:00PM on Sunday; what should I go see? Are there any decent restaurants and/or brew pubs nearby (short taxi ride)? I'll have Sunday afternoon/night, Monday night, and Tuesday night.

You could go see the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, about an hour away. I thought it was great.

Lots of good places. The airport is only about a 15 minute drive to downtown PDX. And the light rail system is excellent, too. Bunch of restaurants and shops in the Pearl District (by downtown) and by Northwest 23rd. Personal favorites of mine were Paley's Place, Veritable Quandry, & Higgins in those neighborhoods. There was also some converted highschool. It's a McMinnimins establishment. They (two brothers) turn old buildings into restaurants and brew pubs. One was an old highschool. Can't recall the name. It was interesting how they turned various rooms into a restaurant/bar/smoking room/etc.

Lots of strip clubs and cool pubs, one pub I went to down town had 125 different brews on draft
 and good food too!!!

There are a ton of really good brew pubs both downtown & in the suburbs. Oh ...... and no PDX visit is complete without a trip to Powell's Bookstore & Voodoo doughnuts

For real excitement...go to a City Council meeting....watch the Mayor squirm as he's asked questions about him playing hide the salami with a teenage boy. It's been a lot of laughs to watch this on the nightly liberal views shows...

be sure to get the mango doughnut there. It's right across the street from Dante's, which is great for a show.
Powell's Books is the most incredible bookstore you will ever go to. As far as brewpubs, I like Lucky Labrador Bagdad Theater (McMennamins) When you get into PDX, just get on the MAX to the city center. The public transit is great and pretty much goes everywhere.
