Donovan McNabb haters

McNabb (and a bruising defense) has just finished leading the Eagles to their 5th NFC title game in 8 years.

The floor is yours....

PS: I am sure the Cardinals are thrilled to draw this matchup.

ikarcuaso 01-11-2009 01:15 PM

Huge props to him, and Reid. That benching seems to have inspired him.

Picking up that phone on the sideline, however, was kinda lame.

You can't argue with 5 title games in 8 yrs....this year just feels right to me, I am loving it!! The Dallas win, the Giants win today, it's all so good!

real550A 01-11-2009 02:28 PM

I certainly don't hate McNabb, but I don't want to see him come to MN.
next year, which is the very strong rumour around here.

sammyg2 01-11-2009 03:08 PM

I don't hate him, I've just seen him make too many stupid decisions over the years to consider him a smart quarterback. He's not.

The TEAM has made it to 5 title games in 8 years, but whole THE TEAM did it, not just McNabb.

BTW, what was their record in those previous 4?

Jim Garfield 01-11-2009 03:11 PM

I thought the team played very well and McNabb was just ok. He traditionally doesn't choke until the big game so we'll have to wait and see.....

Macroni 01-11-2009 03:29 PM

Philadelphia's year.......

McNabb is a solid QB......Reid is a solid coach neither spectacular. It is my hope they can reach the next level. If we make it to the SB; I have a very good feeling......

They both took a tremendous amount of local heat this year.

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

real550A 01-11-2009 04:14 PM

Maybe an all Pennsylvania Super Bowl this year?

Drew001 01-11-2009 07:43 PM

I can't wait for the inevitable Philadelphia Eagles choke.

m21sniper 01-11-2009 08:34 PM

I am sure the defending NFL champion Giants and all their fans were thinking the same thing all day long today as the life ticked away from their season, and on their own home field to boot.

With the Eagles run game shut down it was McNabb, time after time scrambling around and finding open receivers, then delivering dagger strikes right into the Hearts of Giants fans over and over again.

TimT 01-11-2009 08:45 PM

Watching todays Giants/Eagle game was tough..

It looked like they dared each other not to score.....

And the Eagles won that "lets score as little" as we can game

m21sniper 01-11-2009 09:08 PM

I believe that is the result when the #5(Giants) and #3(Eagles) defenses in the NFL get together. The Ravens-Panthers game was also much of the same.

The remaining teams ranked by defense are:

NFL RANK:

#1 Steelers
#2 Ravens
#3 Eagles
#19 Cardinals

Hmmm

BReif61 01-12-2009 03:46 AM

That 19th ranked defense got 5 turnovers this week. I'll believe in McNabb when he (and Reid) win one when it really counts.

Jim's Crystal Ball: Iggles v. Steelers in the SB. I prefer an Iggles win, but can't "guarantee" it happening. The ball is still too cloudy.

Rich76_911s 01-12-2009 05:46 AM

I was at the game yesterday. From my perspective neither team really deserved to win that game. The giants ran all over the eagles then once they crossed the eagles 40 yard line they gave up running and would try 3 pass plays.

How did the safety look on TV? I thought it was a bad call, but I was at the opposite end of the field.

It could've gone either way; Yes, he was definately in the endzone and there was NOONE around the ball, but they could've made the argument that he was hit while in the throwing motion causing the errant pass.

I think we all know who's gonna be headed to Didney Wurl this year. :D

If this were the BCS those numbers would be slighly more important :D ... And I assume you meant the Titans?

flatbutt 01-12-2009 01:04 PM

My Giants played a very lame game. Not to take away from the Eagles at all, they were the better team. But when Ward can't bring in a 10 yard screen pass with no one challenging him, when we couldn't convert 3rd and 5 four times, when we couldn't convert a 4th and inches....jeez
