Income Tax Question -
Wife recently started working part-time at an Imaging Center across the state line (we're located very close the GA/SC state line). Her state witholding is for South Carolina, yet we live in Georgia. We don't file in SC. How does this work?
Does SC automatically transfer witholding dollars to GA? Is there some special filing requirement in this situation? Thanks for the advice.

You are going to have to file a SC non resident return. You will probably get every dime of SC tax you paid.

Thanks. Would non-resident returns be included in a TurboTax package? Wouldn't that leave us in a tax deficit situation with Georgia, and possibly induce an "underpayment of tax" penalty?

Yes you should be able to get that with turbo tax and no I don't think it will cause you to have a penalty with GA.
