After you download the torrent, you need to download the actual file. I use "Bit torrent 6.1.1" client, which can be downloaded at: http://www.bittorrent.com/?client=bittorrent6110 to do this. Once that's downloaded and installed, just double click the green torrent box to add it to the queue. Once the torrent is fully downloaded using the client, it's just like any other regular file- double click to open.

You can get virtually ANY file you want in torrent form from ISOhunt.com

i looked closer and im not confident its downloaded.

On the left it says "Completed" but:
the large window on the right indicates that the flac file is 100% done, BUT, then it says "Seeding" ETA 7hours uploaded 53MB and this keeps increasing and the time goes down...must be parts to this file that are still downloading...... 7 HOURS???? whoa... i dont know. im confused and my blood pressure is going up

The first thing you download is not the actual file, it's a torrent that lets you download the file.

You also upload the parts you've already downloaded simultaneously, so others can download it i guess? (Not really sure, but i think it's like a peer to peer deal).

I use utorrent on occasion.

The facts (as far as I know which ain't much)

Seeds: The computers feeding the download
Peers: The computers d'loading at the same time

When you download, you also upload & seed others.

The d'load speed is dependent on the # of seeds, # of peers & the speed of everybody's internet connection.

Here is a screenshot of a d'load I just fired up to show you:

so, even though under "Done" mine says 100%....and seeding is still in progress ( 7 hours to go) ...it means my music file is not totally downloaded and ready for listening?

If the download part is at 100%, it's done, even though it may still be uploading, etc.

Once you get the hang of it, it's an extremely simple program to use, and very fast.

Try that site i listed above, they have gillions of free videos, movies, audio, all kinds of stuff.

If it says done, it should be done & you can shut down the upload. You don't have to continue. Check the file size vs what it was supposed to be. Be sure to fully shut it down. If it is not finished, you can shut it down anyway & restart bit torrent to resume.

But the file might be corrupt. This is not unusual. Or you may not have the right codecs on your computer to play the file. Sometimes you only get video & no audio or vice versa & that is invariably a codec issue. The best player is VLC. It will often play files that nothing else will. If it fails, then the file is garbage & you must d'load again.

Go to wherever you downloaded the file to(I DL them all to desktop to make them easier to find) and just double click it, as you would any other file. It should work perfectly.

when i click on the torrent on my desk top, it says
"the torrent you are trying to add is already in the lists of torrents. do you want to load the trackers from it?" YES or No

Question...is the Bit Torrent a music play or just the download software and im supposed to use a separate software to play the file?

Like sniper said. You only d'load with bit torrent or utorrent. You play it with your media player of choice externally.

Don't click on the torrent, that's not the actual file. The actual file will be a typical WMV, MPEG, or whatever else. You will find it where-ever you told your torrent client to DL it to.

Do you have the software capable of playing flac files? You don't play the file through bittorrent, you must use an additional media player for that.
