the opening of the auction at 28K weeds out the boys from the men
there may be 25 serious bidders biding their time, who knows.. Then again, the engine is an unknown... potential buyers might be inclined to subtract the price of a rebuild... It's not a 60K car, never was, not in that shape

Nice enough car but an unbelievably stupid way to run an eBay auction. I still for the life of me cannot figure out how the concept of a sealed-bid auction eludes some people. If it's a "no reserve" auction, then start it at $100 and get 30 or 40 bids in the first day + 200 watchers. If it has a reserve, then start the auction at $100 and don't disclose the reserve, genius.
As it is, it's just the two hundred and thirteenth average silver targa on eBay marketed like it's on a used car lot thousands of miles away. I know that I'm being really harsh and it's not directed solely at this seller, (looks like a decent car), just everyone who does this and can't figure out eBay. A "no-reserve" auction with a $28k minimum bid.

Denis, "nice enough"? I'd call this one mediocre at best. Note the crooked rear reflector (poor body work?) ...the filthy engine...ahhh, I won't bother going into details. Also, EWWWW! It's a TARGA! Must be able to cruise at 165 with the top off, right?

no kidding!
for those that own these things for the enjoyment of actually USING them i'd say a collectibles market collapse would be embraced! ![]() or maybe some of the folks who kept being told that an S is the be all end all of 911's and bid them up as such actually had a chance to drive a T or E and had an epiphany.

I noted a missing passenger door stay, hood prop, no trunck carpet, a really ratty looking engine compartement, two odometer readings that were not added together.
On the plus side - those are turbo valve covers. I'm appreciating the attention to detail that I put into my car.

Advertised as having 63,000 miles and the original kilo speedo available. Now that's a low even for ebay.
