Too small for me...and ragtops off the list. After all, this is the Willametter Valley, with 3-4 feet of rainfall anually.

Sorry folks, but I promised Cindy, and myself, never again a Porsche.

Also out. I don't mind the gold rope chain, but Cindy refuses to have her boobs made bigger and bleach her hair. ;)

Why "never again a Porsche"? What does Cindy have against them (for you)?

Best,

Tom

Here we go.....

Ya why not? You were dissatisfied with the guys in the scene? That is not part of a requirement of owning a Porsche. Buy one and drive the wheels off the thing and forget what "Those" people say.

You missed all that stuff he said about caravanning to and from Portland to get serious work done on it?

It looks like there is some information or backstory here that I'm not familiar with.

I did.

Thanks, Tom

Actually, there's no backstory in this thread. It's found in an earlier thread, right here.

What do you want out of a car?

To me, you're not making much sense but I am sure I don't know the whole story.

Thanks for the reminder. I recall that thread now and it makes a little more sense.

Paul - If there is a BMW dealer close, check out the 135i coupe. That might float your boat, and it includes maintenance iirc.

Good luck!

You know, I thought of BMW...really enjoyed the M-3 ride a fellow former early 911 owner gave me last Sept. But again, a long slog up & down I-5 in order to have any serious work done.

What I want in a car is great performance but without the hassles of far away dealerships. In my immediate area, that pretty much limits me to Japanese or domestic.

I really had hopes that the 370 Z would fill the bill...good performance, yet a car I could ride hard and put away wet. Something easily replaced if the worst happened. Good hwy mileage and "economy" as well. If you're 5'10" or under, it may fit just fine. A car without the paranoia of owning a car like I had. Alas, not to be. Perhaps...some time in the future.

If not? No big deal...my basic transportation needs are well cared for.

Nissan has outdone themselves - they actually managed to come out with a more overpriced car than the 350Z...

You like the G37 Infiniti's PWD? I think they're hot hot hot.

Pretty damn fast too.

Referring to your initial post, Cindy sounds like pure gold.
