I agree with both comments - cool and dangerous. I would sincerely hope that in order to fly one of these pilots/drivers will need the full flight school required to get a pilot's license, not the "road test" that currently allows any schlep who can manage to sign his name to drive a 3000 pound piece of steel at lethal speeds.
But if it could be made to work en masse, imagine what this would do for gridlock!

It is intended for the Light/Sport market. You will need a pilot's license to fly and a road license as well. It is a "roadable" aircraft. The intent is to allow you to keep it in the garage at home, not to use it for general commuting.
Still, a neat concept. I wonder what the price tag will be?

There is a neighborhood where my Mother lives, Shingle Springs, that is right next to an airfield. The people keep their planes in the garage. All road signs are very short and the streets are extra wide. Neat place to see... Some people even color match their houses to their planes.
