Crappy music in car videos-why?
I like checking out car videos on YouTube just to see what others are doing.
Why is it that alot of the videos shot incar in other countries have "dance club" music jamming? It seems to be mostly the European folk that play this. It reminds me of "Dieter" from SNL.

That's a Euro thing as far as I know, but I don't recall seeing/hearing those type videos... why not share an ultra bad one with us.
![]() What I find idiotic is guys that post videos of their car just idling while they do a walk around; that's 30-45 boring seconds of your life you'll never get back, huh?

techno gives the viewer a sense of speed that the driving lacks.

I agree, I've seen lots of videos that have music added. Personally, I prefer the sound of the car. Even lots of folks around here add rock songs or techno or whatever to their track videos. I prefer the sounds of the car(s).

So you don't like electronic music, so what?
Perhaps something bland and mainstream would make you feel better?

I can't stand electronic or dance, or club music. Whatever the heck it's called. It just irritates me. Kinda the way rap music does.
![]() I want to hear the car sounds. Obviously, the guys in the video I posted weren't out to make a video. It just seemed to me that that type of music is in the background or the guys driving the camera car have it on the stereo quite frequently. What I like doesn't mean diddly-squat to anyone else. I'm sure not everyone would want "Ventura Highway" in the background of videos I made.

Sorry Hardrive but I think hitting myself in the goonies with a ten pound sledge would make me feel better than listening to a few seconds of that guy and I held out for about a minute to se if it improved. It didn't.
What is the talent he posesses, anyway?

Okay. Here's my offering;
I would love to have had the engine sound as audio, but didn't have a mic setup, so I had to add music. I picked the tune because I thought it had a good 'driving beat'. Worst part was, I only had a view of a 911 for the last little bit! Thoughts? Thanks, Paul.
