fabulous pics. thx for posting them. especially the up close ice covered ones. Mpls (MN) is actually up to 9 degrees which is an improvement. looks like the NE area is seeing some weather now though..

I got about 2 acres that look just like that here. Spent whole day plowing out. How bad IS it when the tractor gets stuck and you have to dig it out!

Hey, I'm another Floridian. Born at Morton Plant hospital. I lived in the Tampa/St Pete metro area until I was 5, then my dad went back into the Navy. We lived in Pensacola a couple of times over the years, and I ended up going to USF in Tampa (Temple Terrace).

Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater/Indian Rocks will always be home to me.

Rocking the Terrace! I was up that way a lot. I spent most of my time on the South side though. I grew up near Westshore and Euclid.

The recent snow/ice storm here in Seattle made me feel at home.

Photography is somewhat of a hobby for me. I never took a picture of it, but one of the most beautiful subjects I have ever seen was a mature deciduous tree (willow, maple, something like that) near Boise that was being subjected daily to freezing fog, then slight melting by the Sun during the day, then another coat of freezing fog by next morning. Eventually, this tree appeared to be made of frosted crystal.

I'm from Clearwater...I share your pain! I keep watching properties in my old neighborhood. It's looking attractive. Winters here really suck. The rest of the year it's great but winter just sucks.. Been here almost 3 years and still have not gotten used to it. All my pals in TPA are busting me about Superbowl, and how great the weather is.
